Why is the US Stoping piracy in Europe ?

I don't know a lot about this SOPA thing apart from knowing that the US just shut down Megaupload but why does the US think they speak for the whole world by stoping piracy in Europe. The US Goverment is only in charge of the US, not Europe so why are they determining what the rest of theworld can distrubute.

I don't know a lot about this subject so please explain & I actually support Annonymous know. What about you.

What is a VPN?

VPN is (Virtual Private Network) were first used by companies to enable their employees to securely access internal systems such as email remotely (e.g. from home or while on business trips).
